BRAD RADBY’S SYNOPSIS
At the start of the movie, Meryl Streep is sick with the Big C, but she can’t tell her family, because she is always a happy grandma for them, like how she smiles and makes fun crafts with the kids. Grandpa, who is Laurence Fishburne, teaches urban karate to the neighborhood kids, and even he doesn’t know about Meryl’s secret problem with the Big C.

Meryl’s sons, who are Bruce Willis and Axl Rose, live in the neighborhood, because their quirky kids like to see Meryl a lot and learn about Laurence’s urban karate. Axl is married to his wife, who is Laura Linney, and she is always taking not-nervous pills. Bruce’s wife is dead, because of her not nervous-pills, and how tasty they were when she took them all at once.

When the yard sale starts, all the neighbors come over with their shopping baskets and money and funny stories, and they are like Jason Alexander and Matthew Broderick, who are the funny gays that live in the yellow house on the corner. Also, Laurence’s karate kids are breaking cement blocks in the front yard, and Meryl loves to have them around one more time before the Big C makes her go and live in a coffin.

Bruce has blue striped shorts on.

Meryl gets tired, and Bruce figures out what’s going on, especially because the doctor, who is Peter O’Toole, stops by and tells everyone about the Big C and how bad it’s coming after Meryl’s tummy. That’s when Laurence has a heart attack and gets adult diabetes, and Bruce gets a cramp in his shoulder.

One of the karate kids, who is Lindsay Lohan, says something quirky about how the Big C must be getting everyone, and Meryl is like, “Oooh, my tummy…” because she’s trying to be strong while the firemen and the ambulance guys fix Laurence’s blood sugar and heart.

Everyone sells Grandma’s stuff while Meryl smiles in slow motion, and that’s the quirky meme for the ending.

BRAD RADBY’S PRODUCTION NOTES
1) I helped write the song that was on the credits, Hugging Grandma:

Hugging Grandma!
We gotta do it,
She’s so nice to us,
With her homemade popsicles. (Homemade popsicles…)

Hugging Grandma!
Look at Grandma,
She’s so nice,
Don’t die of The Big C. (The Big C…)

2) There was a deleted scene where the Big C starts going after everyone because Grandma sneezes, and then Bruce uses super-breath to destroy it, and Bruce was really mad at me when it was a deleted scene and not a regular one.

3) Laurence was asking me what was different between urban karate and regular karate, and then I asked him the same thing! LOL!!

4) Meryl wanted to be Method and get the Big C for real, but I was telling her to just pretend and like cough a lot and go, “Ohhhh…” and hold her shoulder like it hurt real bad.

5) Me and Lisa moved in together during this, which was good because of how we were already married, but that meant me and Ruffers had to share our toothbrush sometimes. :(
