ABOUT THE BOOK

In the spring of 1998, Brad Radby quietly directed his first movie, THE EXPLODERS, starring Bruce Willis, Will Smith, and Keanu Reeves.

When it was finally released in May of 2013 as BRAD RADBY’S THE EXPLODERS, the film industry was changed forever. In the years between, Mr. Radby directed thirty-six other movies, before his alleged death aboard the famed Super Airplane in December of 2012.

Inside the pages of BRAD RADBY’S BRAD RADBY, in his own words, Mr. Radby walks you through each of these films, giving valuable insights into the stories, and the stories behind the stories.

Head over to the Excerpts page to get a feel for this material, and perhaps begin here with the foreword:

FOREWORD
By Brian Spathe

We were on the Super Airplane, two minutes from a certain death, when Brad Radby, the famous movie director, grabbed my shoulder and said the following thirteen words:

“Dude, you have to write the foreword to my book! It’s only fair!”

Truth be told, it was only fair. Brad was kind enough, due to circumstances too complex to go into here, to write the foreword to my first and only reading book, Prelude to a Super Airplane.

(Full disclosure: I wrote that foreword, and Brad’s assistant signed off on it. In an ironic twist, we both missed that I spelled it “foreward”, and it was so embarrassing that I swore never to write another word.)

Getting back on track – we obviously lived through our certain death. I’m forbidden, per the terms I agreed to in my trial, from explaining exactly how that happened.

What I can tell you is that in a moment of grim fear and dire peril for everyone aboard the Super Airplane, Brad Radby’s decision to screen The Exploders helped turn the tide in our collective favor. This is simplifying the raw, savage impact that watching The Exploders had on us, but it instilled a definitive will to live in each and every airplane rider.

Consider the most recent events of Brad’s life:

Dec 25, 2012 Brad Radby takes off aboard the Super Airplane.

Dec 31, 2012 The Super Airplane is presumed destroyed in what’s now known as The Great Moon Fire of 2012. All passengers and crew are declared dead, including, but not limited to, the cheerleaders.

May 10, 2013 After being hidden from exhibition for fourteen years by the studio, Brad Radby’s The Exploders is released.

Feb 09, 2014 Brad Radby’s The Exploders wins 15 Academie Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and a complete sweep of the actoring awards.

Feb 08, 2015 Brad Radby’s The Exploders becomes the first film to win these same awards two years in a row, destroying all movie-award-giving rules, traditions, and precedent.

Jan 01, 2023 In a stunning development, the Super Airplane returns to the ground; all but three of its airplane riders are alive and well, including one Brad Radby.

Brad Radby’s The Exploders is now, here in 2023, recognized worldwide as the greatest motion picture – the greatest film – ever created. President Willis even signed an executive order that it will screen 365 days a year for the rest of eternity.

Eternity means it will never be not showing.

This is excellent news for me, since my earliest parole opportunity is sometime in late 2471. This, even if I’m to believe my lawyer has some serious lawyering tricks up her sleeve.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the complete filmography of Brad Radby, in his own words.

Natch.
